In the latest of our weekly blog posts from Marcela of Rico Mexican Kitchen, she'd like to hear your feedback on her new packaging.
I’d like to ask for your thoughts on branding and what messages the packaging is communicating and their appeal to you as consumers.

On the left hand side of the label, there is a stamp which reads “2 of your 5-a-day”. On the back of the label there is information about ways to use the product. We really want to communicate our passion for authenticity, healthy food, provenance and ethically sourced ingredients. We work with local growers and co-operatives in Mexico, but we don’t want to saturate the packaging with loads of writing!

hi, I think that both innovateip and Barnaby are absolutely right. The packaging can do with livening up and saying more of our values of authenticity, ethical sourcing of iingredients, healthiness of food and how yummy it is! The question is, how do you say all this without cluttering the label?? Your comments are appreciated!
All opinions are valid. There are so many elements of Marcela's business which she would like to put across in her products.
What do you think are the most important aspects of her company that she needs to be putting across?
I'm no expert, but I'd have thought the packaging could do with some pictures!
To be honest it looks a bit bland. I like the colours but the RICO brand alone does not get across the great values and ethics of the company. it looks like many other similar products and doesn't really stand it apart.
The product looks good but I think the packaging lets it down a bit.
Still that is just one humble opinion, I'd be interested to know what others think.
