A more joined up experience of the company start-up and incorporation process?

Hi, my name's Ian - I'm from the service design agency Thinkpublic and we are working with businesslink.gov, looking into the company start-up and incorporation processes relating to HMRC and Companies House. We are investigating ways this could be made a more joined up experience over the next few years; linking to other applications like VAT, PAYE and corporation tax.

We’d love to get your input into the project; we've been speaking to a range of people who have started companies in the past year, learning what works well, and what could be better. It would be great to share these stories with you, and get your feedback - learning what your experiences have been and also your ideas for how things could be improved. If you’d like your observations included in the research and to find out more about what we are doing then please get in touch. Your input would be treated in the strictest confidence should you wish.

I would love to know more about what you are working on here, as they are a raft of improvements that can be made in this area.

Dealing with numerous start up businesses, our team has many issues with the process which in my opinion is cumbersome, lengthy and many other words which I had better not write here!

Happy to have a chat and provide feedback and would love to know why it will take a few years to sort out this and stream line the two government departments.

With 30,000 limited companies being formed each month you would have thought that there are some major savings to make here!
