Small firms compete to be Private Business of the Year

Small firms have been called on to enter the Private Business of the Year Awards 2012, which celebrate the most successful UK private sector organisations.

Backed by HSBC Private Bank, the award categories include Private Business of the Year, Family Business of the Year, Technology Innovation of the Year, Social Enterprise of the Year, High Growth Business of the Year and Employer of the Year.

Two new categories for 2012 include the Rising Star of the Year – which will champion vision and growth – and the Exporter of the Year – which will celebrate a growing presence in overseas markers.

“Now is the time for companies and individuals across the UK to have their voices heard,” HSBC Private Bank managing director Charlie Hoffman. “The UK is home to a fantastic array of innovative, forward-thinking and successful businesses and these awards are a great vehicle with which to highlight their endeavours.”

The nominees will receive exposure in regional and national PR campaigns, while the winners will profiled on the Private Business Awards website, as well as on the key sponsors’ websites – Price Waterhouse Coopers and HSBC Private Bank.

The deadline for entries is 13 April and winners will be announced on 6 September.
